The coffee table from the 081 Reaction Poetique collection is another masterpiece by the Italian factory Cassina. Its creator is Spanish designer Jaime Ayon, whose unusual works stand at the intersection of design and art. The furniture created by him denies the postulates of modernism, according to which form follows function, determining the main task of all tables, chairs and cabinets - to be a utilitarian continuation of human life. The table is made of solid ash wood, painted in a strict black color. But its unusual shape reveals the rebellious nature of the designer: the central handle in the form of a cross literally cuts into the smooth surface of the round table top. The table comes in a special package and is accompanied by a detailed description on the leaflet. In 2016, the Reaction Poetique collection won the Wallpaper Design Awards.
