Cookie Policy

This Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies. It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your respective rights.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small data file that is stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used to make websites work or function more efficiently and to provide reporting information. A cookie may have unique identifiers and may be found, among other things, on your device, in emails we send to you, on the Platform and on third party sites using our plugins, widgets, embedded content and pixels.

The cookies we set are called "first party cookies".  Cookies set by third parties other than us are called “third party cookies”. Third party cookies allow you to use features provided by third parties in connection with the Platform, such as advertising, interactive features and analytics. The parties that set these third party cookies may recognize your device both when visiting our website and when visiting certain other websites.

We may use other cookie-like technologies such as pixels, local storage, and software development kits (SDKs).

In this Cookie Policy, we commonly refer to these technologies as “cookies”.

Why do we use cookies?

We use our own and third party cookies for several reasons. Some of them are necessary for technical reasons for the Platform to work. Others provide a better experience on the Platform by remembering some of your actions on the Platform (including through our plugins, widgets and embedded content). Other cookies provide more relevant ads and better analytics.

Essential cookies.

Some cookies are necessary for the Platform to work, for example:

  • to identify you as an authorized user on the Platform;
  • to ensure that you are connecting to the correct service on the Platform when we make any changes to the operation of the Platform.

Cookies for features and services.

Some cookies improve the performance of the Platform. For example, without cookies to remember some of your settings and actions on the Platform, the following functions may become unavailable:

adding purchases to the cart and remembering the products you added;

remembering the settings you applied (for example, the selected interface layout, text size, color settings, etc.);

remembering whether you have already viewed or interacted with certain content on the Platform, so as not to show you these elements again.

Analytics and personalization cookies.

Some cookies collect information about how you use the Platform to help us improve your use of the Platform and to help us understand what might interest you so that we can personalize your experience accordingly. These cookies can, for example:

  • create statistics on how the Platform is used, including to measure any errors that arise or to obtain data on the number of users of the Platform who have taken certain actions;
  • test different designs for the Platform;
  • help us track email response rates, determine when our emails are viewed, and track if our emails are forwarded;
  • collect or transmit information about you, such as your browser type and search settings, and your use of the Platform or third party sites that include part of the Platform.

Advertising cookies.

We and third parties use cookies to make ads more relevant to you. These third parties (such as ad networks and advertising partners) and we may use these cookies to collect information about your activity on various devices on our Platform and third-party websites and applications (for example, the web pages you visit and your interaction with advertising and other communications).

These cookies perform functions such as measuring the effectiveness of advertisements, preventing the same advertisements from re-appearing all the time, ensuring that advertisements are displayed correctly and, in some cases, predicting your preferences and serving advertisements both on and off our Platform is more relevant based on your visits to the Platform and other sites. These cookies can, for example:

  • inform advertising partners that one of their visitors has also visited the Platform;
  • provide our advertisers with data related to the advertisements that were shown to you or on which you clicked, as well as the date and time of your use;
  • be used to display relevant advertisements both on and off the Platform;
  • be used to understand what actions you take on the Platform after receiving our advertising.

How can I control cookies

You can change or "opt out" of the collection of any information using cookies through the settings of your browser or mobile device. You can also manage certain cookies set through the Platform by visiting your profile settings on the Platform.

Please note that disabling or deleting cookies will not prevent device identification and collection of related data. If you choose to restrict the use of cookies, your access to some functions and areas of our website may be restricted. Since the method by which you can refuse cookies using web browser controls varies from browser to browser, you should consult the technical information of your browser or mobile device for instructions on how to remove and disable cookies.

In addition, you may choose not to collect any information through cookies for interest-based advertising by businesses participating in the European Interactive Digital Advertising, the US Network Advertising Initiative, the US Digital Advertising Alliance or the Digital Advertising Alliance Canada. Please visit the opt-out pages of these organizations to find out how you can opt-out of receiving personalized online advertising from participating companies.

You can also access any of the settings offered by your mobile operating system to restrict ad tracking, or install the AppChoices app to learn more about how to opt out of receiving personalized ads on mobile apps. Please note that if you opt out of interest-based advertising using the tools of these organizations:

Cookies may continue to be used to collect data for purposes other than interest-based advertising, including analytics, and you may still see our online ads, but ads will not be targeted based on your behavioral information and therefore may be less relevant to you and your interests.

Your opt-out will only apply to the web browser you opt-out from. You must opt out of using every web browser in which you do not want to see interest-based advertising (and this may include different devices if you use more than one).

If you delete or clear your browser cookies, you will need to repeat your opt-out.
